Welcome to the Rosedale blog. This is where we share news and information about events in Rosedale and the wider community throughout the year. You’ll also find news about the village timetable, our micro enterprises, school events, clubs, and lively socials.
For those of you who were still in bed at 4.00am this morning and therefore missed the lunar eclipse, here are some images of the event!
The full wolf moon… going …… going …… nearly all gone!
The next such event will not be seen in our part of the world until 2021, so watch this space for further information!

The very popular auction in aid of the Updale Reading Room was held in the Coach House Inn on Saturday evening. The organisers would like to express heartfelt thanks to Sue Foster for all her work in helping set the event up in what was a very trying time for her. Also thanks to Dave Oakey and his great team at the Coach House and to Dave Seller, Lori Westwood, Ena Dent and Trevor and Lorraine Dale for running the auction. And, of course, to all those who donated lots for the auction and who gave so freely in bidding for them.
The standard has been set high this year, so the challenge is to do even better in 2019!

Before the wreath laying, a Book of Remembrance, prepared by the Rosedale History Society to commemorate those men who gave their lives and also those who served and returned, was presented to the church for permanent display.
