Show time approaches rapidly and so the organizing committee has put out the annual plea for volunteers to come to the Milburn Field on Tuesday evening, 13 August, at 6.00pm to help set up the arenas – if you can please come along, armed with a pair of gardening gloves and a pair of scissors, and a friend or two!

The Show is organised and run entirely by volunteers, so your help with setting up the showground is very important and would be much appreciated – see you there on Tuesday 13 August ay 6.00pm.
The Mobile Library Service visit to Rosedale Abbey on 7 August been cancelled as the vehicle has had to go in for repairs. The next visit to Rosedale will be on Wednesday 4 September 2024.
Steve Brace and Linda Blackburne, of the Oaks, Rosedale Abbey, were married in St Mary and St Lawrence Church, Rosedale Abbey, on Saturday 3 August. The ceremony was presided over by the Reverend Christine Haddon-Reece and the music was provided by members of the Moorland Voices choir and Chris Dyson of Gaelforce.



The reception was held in the paddock of the Oaks, in Rosedale Abbey.

Planning for the Rosedale Show, to be held on the Milburn Arms field on 17 August, is now in its final stages. As well as all the usual favourites some innovations, including some new classes and adjustments to the field layout are going to be tried out, so exciting times ahead!

Car parking is free on the day and entries are £7 for adults, £6 for Seniors, £5 for children and under 5s are free.
The Showground gates open at 9,00am and we look forward to seeing you all here on Saturday 17 August, and spread the word about Rosedale Show.
The ever popular Rosedale calendar in aid of the Save Rosedale Church Appeal is now available for sale at the inflation proof price of £10 a copy from Abbey Stores in Rosedale Abbey village. The 2025 calendar will also be on sale at the upcoming Rosedale Show 0n 17 August in the Rosedale History Archive tent, at coffee mornings in the Coach House Inn and at the History Archive Tea and Chat meetings – more details to follow.

The coffee morning in the Coach House Inn on Saturday morning from 10.00 to 12.00 will be in aid of Cancer Research.
Please come and support this vital cause and enjoy the excellent company, the raffle and the cake sale.
A Bingo Night will be held in the Abbey Stores Tea Room on Friday 28 June in aid of the Reading Room/Village Hall. Tickets can be obtained from the shop counter
Just a reminder that the Coffee Morning in the Coach House Inn in aid of the Reading Room/Village Hall is on Saturday 1 June from 10 to 12am with the usual cake sales and raffle and that the Rosedale History Archive quarterly Tea and Chat Meeting will be in the Village Hall in Updale from 2 to 4pm on Sunday 2 June where a host of historical archive material; will be available to peruse and also some excellent tea and cakes will be available! Both events are free to enter but donations would be appreciated to help the annual running costs of both organisations.
