Welcome to the Rosedale blog. This is where we share news and information about events in Rosedale and the wider community throughout the year. You’ll also find news about the village timetable, our micro enterprises, school events, clubs, and lively socials.
The Carols on The Green event on 23 December 2022 raised £280 and the recent Coffee Morning in the Coach House collected £216 making a total of £496 donated to the Air Ambulance from the people of Rosedale and Hartoft over this Christmas and New Year – well done all!
It takes £19,000 a day to operate both YAA helicopters so all donations are vital to keep this essential service in the air.

CAROLS ON THE GREEN – 23 DECEMBER 2022
Because of the forecast for heavy rain on Friday evening, 23 December, the Carols On The Green event in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance was held in Rosedale Abbey’s church instead. Around 68 locals and visitors joined in singing all the Christmas favourites lustily, helped by the mulled cider and mince pies!
A collection was taken for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance which raised the excellent sum of £280, so thanks to all who came for their generosity. Thanks also to Linda Chambers and Lorraine Dale for setting up the event, for the mulled cider and the mince pies and coping with the last minute change of location.
