That’s not yoga for goats but yoga with goats at Abbey Farm Cottage in Rosedale Abbey!

On Saturday 3 June the Coach House Inn will be hosting a coffee morning with raffle from 10.00 to 12.00am in aid of the Village Hall/Reading Room.
Then, on Sunday 4 June, the Rosedale History Society will hold its quarterly Tea and Chat in the Updale Reading Room from 2.00 to 4.00pm, when its extensive social and industrial heritage archive will be available to view. Entry is free but donations are welcome.
The Stall on The Green event held recently raised £260.20 for the church Appeal Fund – well done all.
Those of you who have driven on Chimney Bank recently will have noticed that the NY Highways road walkers have been busy. Now we know that work is due to start on the Bank for 4 weeks starting Tuesday 30 May.

The annual meeting of the Rosedale Church will be in the church on Thursday 25th May at 6.30pm. All are welcome to attend.
A cool, drizzly day did no deter a large number of family and friends attending the funeral at St Mary and St Lawrence Church, Rosedale Abbey, of the late Janet Dring of Hartoft. The Service of Thanksgiving was led by the Reverend Christine Haddon-Reece and the organ was played by the Reverend David Haddon-Reece.
8.00 pm Compline in Lastingham Crypt.
10.00 am Pilgrimage walk from Rosedale Bank to Lastingham with Stations of the Cross.
12.00 am Holy Communion in Lastingham Crypt, celebrated by Fr Henry Wansborough OSB followed by soup lunch at Barmoors, Hutton, by courtesy of Alice O’Neill
8.00 pm Compline at Appleton le Moors
7.00pm Institution of Holy Communion with Stripping of the Altar at Rosedale.
12.00 Devotional Hour at Cropton.
2.00 pm Devotional Hour at Lastingham with Stations of the Cross.
Saturday No services
9.15 am Holy Communion at Hutton le Hole
9.15 am Holy Communion at Appleton le Moors.
10.30 am Holy Communion at Rosedale.
10.45 am Holy Communion at Lastingham.
11.00 am Holy Communion at Cropton.

The next Coffee Morning in the Coach House Inn on Saturday 4 March from 10.00 to 12.00am will be in aid of the Rosedale Community School. The usual cake sale and raffle will be on so come along and enjoy the company and help support this vital part of our community
On Sunday 5 March 2023 there will the Rosedale History Society’s next quarterly Tea and Chat Meeting at the Updale Reading room from 2.00 to 4.00pm. A large archive of local social, family and industrial history will be available to browse so if you are interested in the history of the dale come along and find out more. As usual delicious cakes and tea will be served. No entry charge but donations to the RHS will be very welcome.
